Last summer Austin Wedding Planners asked us to do an audition video for WeTV. The big catch was we had to plan, tape, edit, and post the video on the web all in about 7 hours. The taping went fast and Kathie, Vivian and the group had a lot of fun doing the acting. The editing had to be done at break neck speed but Brian got it all finished and delivered by the 5:00 deadline. Here is the finished audition video:
SilverTree Studios will be attending Austin Wedding Guide’s Bridal Extravaganza on January 10th & 11th. We’ll be one of hundreds of wedding vendors offering our services to Austin-area brides.
This year its being held at the Austin Convention Center downtown rather than the Parmer Events center, so download and print a parking map here and make plans to visit us in booth 833!
In our promise to keep up with technology, SilverTree Studios will now record exclusively in ‘high definition’, effective January 1st. This move offers our customers the ultimate in picture quality amongst other benefits. We deliver your high-def wedding video on Blu-ray Disc which play on either PlayStation3 gaming consoles or any Blu-ray player. Blu-ray players range in price from $200-$350 and can play regular DVD’s as well. If you don’t have a blu-ray player, you can continue to order standard definition DVD’s for playback in DVD players.
If you have any questions about this change, please feel free to call me @ 512.251.6230.
As this year draws to a close, I’d like to reflect back on what a great year 2008 has been. 2008 brought some big changes for us:
We started a blog!
Our crew grew to six employees! This enables us to do so much more with the added benefit of fresh minds developing new ideas
I was married September 27 so I had a chance to go through the process that I was already too familiar with! By the way, my wife is a pretty good editor so you may just want her to edit your wedding video
We made some great connections with other wedding vendors, including joining the Carriage House group!
We’ve been heavily involved with starting up the Greater Austin Professional Videographers Association (GAPVA). Our hope is that this organization will be valuable to both budding and seasoned videographers as well as raise awareness of the benefits of videography.
We started Capital Wedding Video in response to an increased demand for more economical wedding videography services. Check it out!
We hope that 2008 was a blessing and that 2009 brings joy and success to you and yours.
-Brian

This one comes from Samantha and Brian who were married in May:
The DVD is AMAZING!!!! You captured every moment and even the ones we missed. It was so perfect and way surpassed our expectations. I loved the way you did everything and how all the “effects” were done. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you so much again, and I will most definitely recommend ya’ll to everyone I know!!
Thanks guys, it was a pleasure. It was also a pleasure to work with Robbie and Janet of Dodd Studio, and the folks over at Lakeway Resort and Spa!
Back in June, Joe and I had the oppotunity to chat with R.J. Johnson of Austin Bridal Secrets about our business and what services we offer. Austin Bridal Secrets is a podcast/blog dedicated to helping Brides get to know wedding vendors in the Austin area. This is our very first podcast, so naturally I was a little nervous. It ended up being lots of fun. R.J. also runs a DJ service (Music4Life DJ’s).

We recently shot a wedding at Bella Notte and created this video to showcase the venue. We will be adding them to our Venue Video Index soon. Bella Notte on Main is a great little venue in the heart of historic downtown Round Rock. Check it out:
We just received this recommendation from Gabriel & Chrystal who were married at Krystal Falls in Elgin:
We absolutely love SilverTree Studios. Anyone getting married should use SilverTree. Not only are they very professional, but they are the nicest people too. A video is a must – its brings so much happiness every time you watch it. Thank you guys!
I couldn’t have said it better myself. She also wrote:
Joe & Brian – We will always remember what you have done for us. This video will be treasured forever.
Thats good to hear! Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day! You can view a video of Krystal Falls on our Venue Video Index.
SilverTree Studios recently joined The Carriage House which is a group of professional wedding vendors. With vendors specializing in wedding planning, photography, cakes, flowers and honeymoon travel, the addition of SilverTree Studios adds wedding videography to the group. The Carriage House Groups goal is to be a one-stop shopping destination for the bride and groom.
This is just a note to say thank you so much for all your hard work on our wedding video. It is absolutely perfect. Better than we ever imagined. The way you integrated our song choices is seamless and each sets the mood for the different parts of the video in just the right way. I’ve already watched it 3 times and it gets better every time. The quality of the audio is so impressive, and even more impressive is how many different angles you were able to get of everything (and at the time, I barely even noticed the cameras were there at all!)…I LOVE the effects you chose to use, from the sped up reel of people walking in and out of the reception during dinner, to the slowed down clip of Pat stuffing his face with our cupcake, and all the little things, like the freeze frame of the bridal party jumping…it’s all simply wonderful. I especially love the interlude and getting to see all the details we missed that night.
Thank you both so so much. We will cherish this video for years to come.
Rachel and Patrick
Thanks so much Rachel & Pat. We’re glad you liked your video!
